Saint Louis Coworking, located on the 11th floor of me, just hosted its first event! On July 28, 2010, over 60 people attended “Geek Night“, a celebration of St. Louis’ entrepreneurial spirit and an opportunity for people with great ideas to find others who might be able to help them be realized.
Here are some details about what to expect from a future Geek Night…
Who should attend:
Professionals, entrepreneurs, CEOs, students, scientists, investors.
Open-minded individuals interested in ideas centered around technology.
Admission is Free, Participation is Required:
Prepare to openly discuss one of your ideas
You must give feedback and be part of the discussion
This is about ongoing relationships, be ready to attend future events
What kind of ideas:
From a napkin sketch to a working prototype you’re going to demonstrate
If you have a business plan, company, or management team, you’re too far along
What could happen:
Get feedback on your idea and its viability
Meet people with the skills you need for your team
Discover people you want to work with
You’ll leave with a better idea than you came in with, guaranteed!
Here are some photos of the event. Thanks to Josh Jeffryes for letting us host the night!
